2024 Entries for The Big Flip Furniture Flipping Contest

In honour of Earth Day 2024, Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region and Chemong Home Hardware Building Centre hosted “The Big Flip” — a furniture flipping contest! This Kawartha-wide event aimed to promote sustainability by reimagining and reviving used furniture. We’re talking about giving old furniture a fresh new lease on life to keep it out of the landfills. We received 46 submissions. Among the entries,  20 contestants sourced their items from a Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 5 found furniture pieces on the side of the road, and 6 repurposed items they already had at home.
