Happy Construction Appreciation Week
It’s NationalConstruction Appreciation Week we celebrate the important behind-the-scenes work that goes into building decent, affordable homes for our community.
We all know the construction job site isn’t the prettiest place to be with constant noise, dirt, and the boiling sun. This week is a nationwide effort created to raise awareness of the construction industry’s career options and promote the field as a safe, exciting, and rewarding employment path.
For 20 years Habitat for Humanity PKR has been extremely lucky to work with generous, community-minded, and hard-working trade teams. Together we have built 78 homes and served 82 families in the community. Without them, we could not build homes for local families.
A big HABITAT THANK YOU to Habitat PKR’s Director of Construction, Kylee McGrath. The Director of construction is the lead on any Habitat construction project and works along with Engineers and Architects to develop a plan, create a time frame, distribute resources and ensure timely completion.
We are looking forward to building more safe, decent, and affordable homes in our community.
