HomeGrown: A Habitat Garden Party Fundraiser – A Blooming Success!

Posted: 10-Jun-2024

On Saturday, June 1, 2024, we celebrated HomeGrown: A Habitat Garden Party Fundraiser at the beautiful Northview Gardens, and we are thrilled to announce that we raised over $21,500 for Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region’s local affordable homebuilding efforts!

The sold-out event featured a silent auction with generous donations from local businesses, a delicious dinner, and a ‘groundbreaking’ dessert from Delaney’s Custom Catering. Guests admired and purchased handcrafted centrepieces by the Kawartha Potters Guild, enjoyed enchanting fiddle music from Irish Millie Music, and witnessed an incredible aerial performance by Trellis Arts. Attendees were also moved by a local Habitat homeowner family’s story of achieving strength and stability through affordable homeownership.
A huge thank you to all the community supporters, guests, and volunteers who made this fundraiser a massive success!
