Lakefield ReStore Closure

It is with heavy hearts that Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region announces the upcoming closure of the Lakefield Habitat ReStore.
Like many local businesses, the Lakefield ReStore has faced challenges over the past year that have made continuing operations unsustainable. While we are deeply saddened by this closure, it is a necessary step to ensure that Habitat PKR can continue to focus on our core mission of building safe and affordable housing for local families.
The Lakefield ReStore will stop accepting donations after Saturday, September 6.
- A 50% OFF storewide closure sale will begin on Tuesday, September 2, right after Labour Day.
- A special Yard Sale will take place at both the Lakefield ReStore and the Peterborough ReStore (300 Milroy Dr.) on Saturday, September 6 starting at 8 a.m., with great discounts on home décor items to help move stock.
- The final day of operations for the Lakefield ReStore will be Tuesday, September 30.
We want to sincerely thank every person who has shopped, donated, and volunteered at the Lakefield ReStore. Your support has been instrumental in furthering our mission of affordable housing in the Peterborough & Kawartha Region.
We encourage you to continue supporting Habitat PKR by shopping, donating, and volunteering at our other Habitat ReStore locations:
- Peterborough ReStore: 300 Milroy Drive, Peterborough
- Lindsay ReStore: 55 Angeline Street North, Lindsay
Donations for ReStore should be diverted to one of these two ReStores.
It is important to note that the closing of the Lakefield ReStore will not impact the affordable housing programs provided by Habitat PKR. Our commitment to providing safe, decent, and affordable homeownership will continue with the support of our generous community and the Peterborough and Lindsay ReStores.
Thank you again for your unwavering support and understanding during this transition.
