National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Thursday, September 30th, Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region’s office and our Lindsay and Peterborough North & South ReStores will be closed.
All of our staff will be coming together for a day of training and collective learning to reflect on the tragic history and ongoing legacy of residential schools and to remember and honour the survivors, their families, and communities.
We invite our volunteers, supporters, and all Canadians to observe this day by participating in activities and education related to Truth and Reconciliation, including the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action.
