Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region join Habitat for Humanity organizations worldwide in mourning the loss of Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter. A tireless advocate for affordable housing, President Carter helped build and repair more than 4,000 homes in 14 countries—including 180 here in Canada—and inspired countless others to take action in their own communities.
His legacy of service lives on through the incredible volunteers here at Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region. Whether supporting our Habitat ReStores to help fuel our mission or lending their time and talents in other ways, these dedicated individuals embody the same passion and commitment to helping others that President Carter demonstrated throughout his life.
President Carter’s life of compassion and service will continue to inspire us as we work to build a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to call home. Please join us in celebrating his extraordinary impact and the volunteers who carry his legacy forward every day.
