POSTPONED – ReWorkshop Grand Opening – Habitat Peterborough is going green(er)

Posted: 17-Mar-2020

At this time, out of an abundance of caution we have made the incredibly hard decision to postpone the grand opening of the ReWorkshop Your health and safety are and continue to be our top priority and at the heart of every decision we make. We believe it’s critical to do everything within our power to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and follow the ongoing direction from our community and Canada’s Health Agencies. We look forward to when we can announce a new date for the Grand Opening of the ReWorkshop and when we’ll be able to welcome our incredible community in to see this new initiative from Habitat Peterborough & Kawartha Region.

We’ve been working away at our new green initiative, the ReWorkshop! After three months of setting up our workshop, upcycling furniture, building projects from scratch and meeting new volunteers, we are ready to formally open the doors of the ReWorkshop. If you want to see what it’s all about, please join us for the grand opening. We’ll have one-of-a-kind door prizes, music, delicious treats, and great company! We’d love to see you there!

The ReWorkshop is Habitat Peterborough’s upcycling workshop that recycles and transforms donated products and materials that would otherwise go to landfill. Unique and beautiful items are created from these materials and older furniture is revived into something that can be sold by Habitat Peterborough to raise money to continue building affordable homes in our community.
