Thank you Kawartha Credit Union!

Thank you to the Kawartha Credit Union for their generous donation of $1500 to support Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region’s youth volunteer program. This donation was made possible through their fantastic Community Involvement Program.

Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region recognizes that a strong youth program is needed to harness our future leaders’ energy, creativity, and passion. Through the Habitat Youth Project, we can provide a platform to engage and empower young people from all walks of life to invest in themselves and their community through volunteerism.

Our goal is to encourage local youth to build valuable skills in our Habitat ReStores that will serve them in their future career aspirations, gain confidence, and emerge as leaders in areas they might not otherwise have the opportunity to explore.

Through Habitat for Humanity, youth volunteers become immersed in a civic engagement experience that promotes skill building with tangible results, equipping youth with the knowledge and tools to become a part of the solution in building a stronger community.
