Thank You Steve and Shoreline Casinos

We want to extend a huge Habitat thank you to Shorelines Casino Peterborough and Great Canadian Entertainment for their generous $500 donation that was facilitated on behalf of their employee Steve for his commitment as a Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region volunteer.
Steve is a valuable Peterborough South ReStore and Salvage volunteer who volunteered over 40 hours to Habitat PKR in 2023. The $500 donation was made possible through Great Canadian Entertainment’s Volunteer PROUD Program which rewards volunteer and fundraising efforts of Great Canadian team members like Steve, by making corporate donations to local charities and not-for-profit organizations like Habitat PKR.
Steve, who was also recently recognized by Habitat for Humanity Canada for National Volunteer Week, has volunteered at the Peterborough South ReStore for the past three years, in-store, on our salvage and truck teams, and with our social committee events. He is a highly respected and admired volunteer, who is always finding new ways to improve the ReStore. He creatively merchandises departments and shares ideas to increase sales and help customers, with one of his more brilliant ideas increasing ReStore metal recycling revenue through proper metal sorting and safer storage. Steve is proud of the work of Habitat PKR and has also become an ambassador in the community.
