Why Shop, Donate, and Volunteer at the Habitat ReStore?

The Habitat ReStore isn’t just a thrift store - it’s a community engine that keeps usable items out of the landfill, offers affordable shopping for everyone, and helps build safe, decent, affordable homes across the Peterborough & Kawartha Region.

Every time you shop, donate, or volunteer, you’re making housing happen for local families, seniors, and individuals.

A Story Worth Sharing

Meet Local Habitat Homeowners

Your support helps families, seniors, and individuals move into safe, stable homes!

Kara and Josh, along with their young son Ollie, were struggling to find an affordable home in Peterborough’s rising housing market. Through Habitat for Humanity’s affordable homeownership program, funded in part by local ReStore proceeds, they became homeowners at Leahy’s Lane. Now surrounded by a supportive community of fellow Habitat homeowners, they’re building a future they once thought out of reach.

Your purchases and donations make stories like theirs possible.
