e are thrilled to announce that Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region is opening a Habitat ReStore in Lakefield this summer! Located at 3001 Lakefield Rd, the new Lakefield Habitat for Humanity ReStore will help us continue our mission of supporting local families and individuals through affordable homeownership while expanding our ReStore’s reach across our region. We’re looking forward to being able to offer local Selwyn residents a place to donate and purchase quality new and used furniture, all in support of a great cause.

Where is the Lakefield ReStore located?

The Lakefield ReStore will offer a wide range of items including furniture, appliances, home decor, building materials, and more, all at affordable prices!

Can I donate items to the Lakefield ReStore?

The Lakefield ReStore is not currently accepting donations. If you have items to donate, please bring them to our other two ReStore locations: Peterborough North ReStore at 300 Milroy Drive and the Lindsay ReStore at 55 Angeline Street, North. You can also request a free pick-up here. As we get closer to the grand opening, we will provide updates on when items can be brought to the Lakefield

Will there be any special events or promotions for the grand opening?

Yes, we are planning a grand opening event and we want YOU to be the first to know! Sign up for our ReStore Newsletter here and not only will you get the inside scoop on the grand opening of the Lakefield ReStore, but you’ll also be entered into a draw to be one of the first 25 VIP shoppers in the store!

Will there be job opportunities at the Lakefield ReStore?

Yes, we will be hiring for full-time and part-time positions at the new Lakefield ReStore. Job postings will be available on our website here as they become available and can be found on our social media channels.

Will there be volunteer opportunities at the Lakefield ReStore?

Is there parking available at the Lakefield ReStore?

Yes, the new Lakefield ReStore will have ample parking available for customers.

Will the Lakefield ReStore offer delivery services?

When open, the Lakefield ReStore will offer delivery services for large ReStore items our customers purchase through our Habitat Procurement department.

How will the new ReStore support Habitat for Humanity’s mission?

This new Habitat ReStore in Lakefield will enable us to continue serving the Peterborough and Kawartha region through three ReStore locations and bring us closer to our vision of a world where everyone has a safe and affordable place to live. We are looking forward to being able to expand our ReStore reach across the region into the local community of Selwyn, enhancing our mission through community engagement!

Why is the new ReStore location not in the Peterborough South End?

While we were unable to find a suitable location in Peterborough South before our end-of-lease closure of the Peterborough South ReStore, our Peterborough North ReStore at 300 Milroy Drive is still open Monday to Saturday for all your shopping and donation needs. We’re excited about opening our new location in Lakefield, as it provides us with the opportunity to expand our support to the Selwyn community while furthering our mission of building affordable homes across the Peterborough & Kawartha Region!
