Meet Sue & Richard | Lindsay ReStore Volunteers

It’s Day 2 of Volunteer Appreciation Week, and today we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers at the Lindsay ReStore, including the wonderful Sue and Richard!
Meet Sue
Sue has been a valued volunteer at the Lindsay ReStore for seven years, bringing warmth, heart, and her incredible eye for organization to everything she does. A proud mom, grandma of four, and great-grandma too, Sue retired after 26 years and now gives her time to help others – at both the Lindsay ReStore and Ross Memorial Hospital.
“I enjoy being around people and helping to make their lives a little better,” she says. Whether she’s setting up beautiful displays (she believes presentation is everything!) or simply offering a kind “good morning,” Sue takes great pride in knowing her efforts help families build brighter futures through affordable homeownership.
Thank you, Sue, for your compassion, your creativity, and your incredible commitment to our mission!
Meet Richard
Richard joined us in November 2024 and has already made a big impact with his friendly spirit and hard work. While studying computer courses at Fleming College, he chose to volunteer at the Lindsay ReStore as part of his program – driven by a belief that everyone deserves a safe, decent place to live.
Whether he’s processing donations, helping clean the store, or just enjoying time with his fellow volunteers, Richard brings fun and positivity to every shift. He loves dancing, swimming, and listening to country music (Rascal Flatts is his favourite!), and says volunteering is “fun – and we all work hard here!” Thank you, Richard, for bringing your energy and heart to the ReStore every day!
Thank you to all the amazing Lindsay ReStore volunteers. We’re so grateful for you.
