As we kick off 2025, I’m reflecting on the power of local community partnerships in creating affordable housing solutions. Last week, I had the chance to drop by Trent Radio to hand over their 2024 interest cheque as part of our High Impact Investment Program (HIIP). It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with Rob Hailman and thank Trent Radio for their ongoing support.
 Rob Hailman, Trent Radio HIIP is a unique way for businesses, organizations, and individuals to make a difference while seeing real benefits. Participants provide funding that Habitat PKR uses to build affordable homes, and in exchange, they receive an annual interest payment, knowing they’re helping families achieve stability through affordable homeownership. For partners like Trent Radio, HIIP aligns their values with action. Their involvement helps us plan, build more efficiently, and create opportunities for those who need it most. It’s a partnership that benefits both Habitat PKR and the families we serve while strengthening community ties. If you’re curious about HIIP and how your business or organization can get involved, I’d love to chat. Last year, we received over 300 calls from community members seeking affordable housing, a powerful reminder of the urgent need for solutions. Whether it’s through HIIP or another avenue, there are many meaningful ways to make an impact in 2025. As a community, we can make 2025 a year of lasting change.
